Nakuru County – A deadly road accident has claimed the lives of 12 people in the Arimi area along the Njoro-Elburgon Road, Molo Sub-county. The tragic incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, May 8, 2025, at approximately 7:00 PM.
According to eyewitnesses, a 14-seater matatu collided head-on with a lorry, killing 12 passengers on the spot. Preliminary reports suggest the matatu driver lost control of the vehicle moments before the crash.
Two other passengers sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to nearby medical facilities by Good Samaritans who had gathered at the scene. The bodies of the deceased were moved to a local mortuary for identification and postmortem.
