Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has been officially removed from the influential Budget and Appropriations Committee in a new wave of parliamentary reshuffles announced on Tuesday, July 29.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula issued a notice revealing adjustments in various departmental committees. The changes, which affect several lawmakers, are part of ongoing efforts to streamline parliamentary operations.

Nyoro has now been transferred to the Committee on Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers, replacing Hon. Sankaire Lea Sopiato. Meanwhile, Hon. Dr. Edwin Gichuki Mugo takes over Nyoro’s former position in the Budget Committee.

“Pursuant to the House resolutions of March 2025 and Standing Order 175, these committee appointments are hereby approved,” Wetang’ula stated.

Ndindi Nyoro’s Political Shifts Continue

The move comes just months after Nyoro was replaced as Chairperson of the Budget Committee by Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi. This latest change may signal a shift in his parliamentary influence ahead of the 2027 elections.
