In a statement issued on Thursday, May 1, the airline announced the dedication, recognizing Ndonga’s significant contribution to the airline’s operations. She currently serves as the station manager in Burundi.
“Today, her name soars on the side of our newest B737, honoring a woman who keeps us grounded while helping us fly higher. Because some names deserve the skies,” KQ said.
Just days before the unveiling, the airline had teased the announcement with a cryptic message: “We have named our newest 737 after someone special… any guesses?”
