He was arrested in Nyanza on accusations of cyber harassment involving Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat and later transferred to Nairobi. Following the incident, the Inspector General Douglas Kanja ordered the interdiction of multiple officers including the OCS and duty staff pending investigation.

The case is under investigation, though allegations of corruption and abuse remain largely anecdotal.
