Passaris Demands Thorough Investigation
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has called for a full investigation into the tragic death of TikTok personality Milcah Nyatuga Murang’a, widely known online as Milly wa Doc.
In a statement released on Wednesday, June 4, Passaris expressed her sorrow and offered condolences to Milly’s family, children, and online followers.
“I am deeply disheartened by the tragic passing of Milly wa Doc. My heartfelt condolences go out to her children, family, and the fans who drew strength from her candid and courageous voice,” she said.
DCI and Pathologist Urged to Act
The ODM legislator urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to initiate an in-depth and transparent probe into the circumstances surrounding Milly’s death. She further called for the involvement of Chief Government Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor in the process.
“Her untimely death raises serious concerns. The Chief Government Pathologist should be urgently involved to help determine the truth behind this heartbreaking incident,” Passaris emphasized.
Allegations Against Milly’s Husband
Additionally, Passaris urged the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) to investigate allegations that Milly’s husband, a medical practitioner, may have been negligent in her care.
“These allegations speak to possible abuse of office and a failure in duty of care—matters that demand immediate attention,” Passaris noted. “No stone must be left unturned. Kenya must stand for truth, justice, and the protection of women.”
Cause of Death Revealed by Family
Milly wa Doc died on June 3, 2025, at PHG Hospital in Nakuru. Her family revealed that complications following a stomach cyst operation led to excessive internal bleeding, necessitating a blood transfusion. Sadly, this was followed by acute kidney failure, which ultimately caused her death.
The news has devastated fans across the country, especially given that Milly had just tied the knot with her husband in a civil ceremony at the Attorney General’s office merely a month earlier.
