Liverpool are open to offers for Ben Doak this summer as they do not believe he will become a regular first-team player under Arne Slot.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 19-year-old is unlikely to break into the side.

This comes amid growing interest from Everton and it is believed the Reds will have no issues selling to their rivals if their price tag is met.

Football Insider revealed on 4 April that Liverpool will demand £30million to sell Doak this summer after rejecting a £15million bid from Crystal Palace in January.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth have also been credited with an interest in the Scotland winger, and could make a move to rival Everton’s ambitions.

The Toffees’ interest comes after Brown told Football Insider that Moyes wants to sign “the next Iliman Ndiaye” too add more flair and directness to his attacking line.

Liverpool open to offers for Ben Doak after Everton latest

Brown told Football Insider in February that Doak has no future at Liverpool and will accept reasonable offers following his loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that it would be a “surprise” to see the winger remain at Anfield this summer.

Doak is up there with the best of this group of young players at Liverpool,” he told Football Insider.

“He’s making progress at Middlesbrough and growing his reputation at that level.

“But the question for Liverpool is: is he going to break into this team in the near future?

“When you consider they’re going to be Premier League champions, you look at the options they’ve got, and you think they’re probably going to sign some new players.

“I think it’s unlikely he gets into that side and I don’t think they believe Doak would fit in there.

“As things stand, is he going to be an improvement on what they’ve got? Probably not, so now I think they will sell and they’ll think they can make good money.

“I’d be surprised if he stays at Liverpool this summer.

“As much as it may not be ideal, I don’t think they’ll have any issues selling him to Everton if they meet their asking price.

“But they’re not the only side interested, so he will be one to watch.”

Arne Slot plots Jarrod Bowen swoop ahead of the summer window

The wide areas at Liverpool have been a key talking points in recent weeks amid speculation Slot is not happy with his current attacking options.

The futures of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are all uncertain and the Reds may be prepared to let more than one leave when the window opens.

As a result, Football Insider revealed Liverpool want West Ham star Jarrod Bowen and view him as a potential option to replace Salah.

His ability to play both on the wing and as a central striker has placed him high on their list of targets, and he is also seen as a possible alternative to Alexander Isak.
