
The Kenya Prisons Service (KPS) has released the full list of shortlisted candidates for Cadet Officers, Technicians, Artisans, and more. In total, 1,231 applicants have been selected and invited for interviews scheduled from June 10 to June 13, 2025 at the Prisons Staff Training College in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

According to KPS, anyone not listed should consider themselves unsuccessful. Successful applicants will undergo a rigorous, government-sponsored paramilitary training — 13 months for cadet officers and 9 months for technicians/artisans.
Important Warning
The Kenya Prisons Service has cautioned applicants not to fall for conmen. All interviews will only take place at the stated venue and on the given dates. Anyone claiming to conduct interviews elsewhere is engaging in criminal activity.
