A Kenya Airways flight, en route to Dar es Salaam, was forced to return to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday following a medical emergency. The airline confirmed that flight KQ484, which departed from JKIA at 12:48 p.m., made an unscheduled return and landed back at the airport around 1:40 p.m., where it was promptly met by medical personnel.

Medical Emergency and Immediate Response

The airline assured that all necessary health and safety protocols were followed during the emergency. However, the specific details of the medical emergency were not disclosed to the public. While initial reports had speculated that a toxic chemical leak in the cargo hold might have been the cause, KQ did not confirm this possibility.
