One Ticket, Nine Destinations

The newly announced one-way codeshare agreement means international passengers flying with KQ can now enjoy smooth transfers to safari hotspots like Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Nanyuki, and Samburu—all through a single booking.

This move eliminates the need for separate local airline arrangements, offering a more efficient and tourist-friendly travel experience.

A Game-Changer for Kenyan Safari Tourism

Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka hailed the partnership as a “smart innovation” aimed at enhancing connectivity, minimizing travel delays, and supporting local economies through tourism.

“We are making it easier for travelers to access remote safari destinations, while also empowering local communities and conservation initiatives,” Kilavuka said.

Leisure travel accounted for 44.2% of tourist arrivals in 2024, proving the strong demand for more accessible safari adventures.

Safarilink Brings the Last-Mile Experience

Safarilink CEO Alex Avedi expressed confidence in their aircraft fleet, which includes Cessna Caravans and Dash-8s, built to serve Kenya’s remote airstrips.

“We’re proud to make safari travel faster and more comfortable,” Avedi said. “Visitors can now spend more time exploring Kenya’s wild wonders instead of worrying about logistics.”

The deal signals a promising future for Kenya’s tourism sector, as travelers gain unprecedented access to the country’s world-class safari parks through a simple, all-in-one travel solution.
