Juja MP George Koimburi Found Dumped in Coffee Farm

Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi was on Monday, May 26, discovered in a critical condition after being dumped at a coffee plantation in Kiambu County.

According to eyewitnesses, the legislator was abducted in broad daylight outside Full Gospel Church in Mugutha, a quiet area in Kiambu County. Unidentified individuals reportedly forced him into a vehicle before speeding off.

Brutally Assaulted and Hospitalised

Koimburi, a vocal supporter of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, was later found severely beaten and unconscious. He had been left abandoned at a local coffee farm, where residents discovered him and alerted authorities.

Rushed to Hospital

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) MP was taken to Plainsview Hospital near Ruiru town for emergency medical attention. Hospital officials have confirmed that he is currently undergoing treatment, with his condition described as critical but stable.

Investigations Underway

Police in Kiambu County have launched a probe into the incident. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, though it comes at a time of heightened political tension in the region. No arrests have been made so far.

This shocking development has stirred concern among constituents and political leaders, with many calling for swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
