KUCCPS Issues Final Reminder Before Midnight Portal Closure

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a final warning to 2024 KCSE candidates and other applicants: today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, marks the last chance to revise course choices for the upcoming academic year.

Midnight Deadline for Course Revisions

In a public notice released earlier today, KUCCPS emphasized the urgency of the 1st Revision of Choices deadline. The application portal—students.kuccps.net—will officially shut down at midnight.

KUCCPS application system closes today, May 27, 2025, by midnight! Don’t miss your chance to secure a course in a University or TVET Institution,” the statement reads.

Who Should Apply?

According to KUCCPS, this final revision window is intended for applicants who did not secure a placement during the previous application phase, which ended on April 30, 2025.

Applicants who did not secure a course in the application that ended on April 30, 2025, are invited to log in again and choose remaining courses as listed on the portal,” KUCCPS stated.

CEO Agnes Wahome Calls for Action

KUCCPS CEO Dr. Agnes Wahome has been leading efforts to ensure that no eligible student is left behind in the placement cycle for the 2025/2026 academic year. In past statements, she stressed the importance of acting within the deadlines to avoid being locked out of university or college placements.

Portal Access and Application Guide

To revise or submit applications, students are advised to:

  • Visit students.kuccps.net
  • Log in using their KCSE index number and password
  • Choose from the available degree, diploma, and certificate programmes
  • Submit before midnight on May 27, 2025

Why It Matters

Missing this deadline could mean waiting another year to gain admission to higher learning institutions. KUCCPS placements are crucial as they determine subsidized government-sponsored slots in public universities, TVET institutions, and colleges.
