The police headquarters has further directed that his desertion status be circulated in the next National Police Gazette.
Social Media Post Hints at Defiance
The arrest order comes days after Samidoh posted a cryptic message on his social media, amid reports of a looming transfer to Baringo County.
“When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty–Thomas Jefferson,” Samidoh captioned an image of himself in a tracksuit standing beside a UK police vehicle.
This post was widely interpreted as a sign of resistance to the reported transfer, which came shortly after a viral video of Samidoh performing live. In the video, revelers were chanting ‘wantam’ a slogan associated with opposition criticism of President William Ruto.
