At least seven people, including children, have lost their lives following a devastating road accident along the Naivasha-Longonot Highway.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of Sunday, March 30, with reports indicating that a private vehicle collided head-on with a trailer near High Peak School.
Among the victims were family members who were traveling together when the fatal crash occurred.

Details of the Collision
Eyewitnesses who shared information on the Sikika Road Safety Facebook page confirmed that the vehicle was completely wrecked due to the force of impact.
One witness stated, “The vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a trailer along Naivasha Mai Mahiu Road. Sadly, four people died on the spot, while injured children were rushed to Naivasha Level 4 Hospital.”
Extent of Damage
Images taken from the accident scene on Monday, May 31, revealed extensive damage, particularly to the front and driver’s side of the car. The roof was also caved in, indicating the severity of the crash.
Authorities and Public Response
As of the time of reporting, Naivasha Mortuary has received the bodies of the deceased. The police are yet to release an official statement on the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, road safety advocates are urging the government to enforce stricter measures to curb the rising number of accidents on the highway.
