TSC Announces Paid Internships with Ksh 25K Monthly Stipend – How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has opened doors to Kenyan graduates through its 12-month internship program, offering a generous monthly stipend of Ksh25,000. The commission is looking for passionate, self-driven, and ethical individuals to join its team.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants must be recent graduates with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The internship is open to individuals interested in the following fields:

1. ICT Internship

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Communication Technology
  • Software Engineering
  • Informatics
  • Computer Networks and Cyber Security
  • Business Information Technology
  • Information Security and Forensics

Knowledge of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) and proficiency in office computer applications will be an added advantage.

2. Records Management

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Information Science
  • Records and Archives Management
  • Library Science
  • Technology in Information Studies

Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma in Records/Archive Management is acceptable.

3. Human Resource Management

Eligible candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or
  • A Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • OR a degree in Social Sciences or Business Administration plus a Diploma in HR Management

4. Counselling Psychology

Candidates applying for this position must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology or Psychology (Counselling)
  • OR a Diploma in Counselling Psychology from a recognized institution

Insurance Requirements

Selected interns must obtain:

  • A valid personal accident insurance cover
  • A valid personal medical insurance cover

Deployment and Application Process

Successful interns may be posted to TSC Headquarters or county offices.

To apply, candidates must submit their applications online through the TSC recruitment portal no later than May 26, 2025.
