Where and How to Check the DV-2026 Results
The Entrant Status Check portal is the only official site where applicants can confirm if they’ve been selected. You’ll need the unique confirmation number you received during registration. Results will remain accessible until September 30, 2026.
“DV-2026 entrants should retain their confirmation number at least until September 30, 2026,” read a statement by the US Department of State.
What to Do If Selected
If your name is among the selected, you’ll be guided through the next steps, including:
- Filling the Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application
- Submitting supporting documents to the US Embassy in Nairobi
- Attending a visa interview
Note: Selection does not guarantee a visa. It only means you are eligible to proceed with the DV Program process.
Beware of Fraudulent Messages
The US government reiterated that it does not send emails or letters informing applicants about selection. Be cautious of scammers requesting fees or personal details. Check everything directly through the official E-DV website to avoid fraud.
Lost Your Confirmation Number?
If you’ve lost your confirmation number, use the retrieval tool available on the Entrant Status Check page. Follow the provided instructions to recover your details.
