Arrival Times Strictly Regulated

According to VFS Global, applicants are now advised not to arrive earlier than 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment. The move aims to reduce congestion and streamline the check-in process at visa application centres.

“To avoid unnecessary crowding, customers are requested to arrive at the visa centre just in time for their appointment,” the advisory stated.

Passport Collection and Security Access

For passport pickups, clients are advised to visit the centre only during designated collection hours. Alternatively, they can opt for the courier return service, which delivers the passport to their registered address.

Entry to the centres will be restricted to applicants only, with the exception of children under 16, who must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Notably, visa centre staff are not allowed to act as guardians.

Special Provisions for Vulnerable Applicants

Applicants who are elderly, disabled, or medically unfit and require assistance should notify the security personnel upon arrival. These individuals will receive necessary support to complete their application process smoothly.

Parking and Traffic Advisory

VFS Global mentioned that limited parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers are urged to comply with Nairobi and Mombasa traffic rules and avoid parking on roads adjacent to the centres to prevent disruptions.

Rising Demand for UK Visas

“Due to the unprecedented surge in demand for UK visas this year, we are working on expanding our waiting area facilities and improving the overall customer experience,” VFS added.

These new guidelines apply to both VFS Global centres in Nairobi and Mombasa and are expected to enhance operational efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction amid the growing volume of applications

Kenyans planning to travel to the UK are advised to visit the official VFS Global Kenya website regularly for updates and announcements.
