Autopsy Reveals Toto Touch CEO Susan Njoki Was Strangled to Death
Manual Strangulation Confirmed as Cause of Death
A postmortem conducted on Toto Touch Kenya CEO Susan Njoki has confirmed she was killed through manual strangulation, according to findings shared by government pathologist Dr. J. N. Ndung’u.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, July 22, at the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home in Nairobi, Dr. Ndung’u revealed that the autopsy showed clear evidence of neck compression.
“There are features of compression to the neck consistent with manual strangulation. We also noted signs of oxygen deprivation in her bloodstream caused by neck compression,” said Ndung’u.
Findings From Team of Six Pathologists
The examination was conducted by a team of six pathologists who unanimously agreed on the cause of death. They also determined that Njoki likely died four hours after her last meal, as undigested food was found in her stomach.
“The time of death aligns with the contents found in her stomach. She passed away approximately four hours post her last meal,” Ndung’u added.
DCI Investigation Points to Husband as Person of Interest
The 34-year-old CEO died on July 15 after being allegedly abducted from her home and admitted to Chiromo Hospital under controversial circumstances.
Reports indicate she was injected and taken to the facility against her will by four unidentified individuals. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched an investigation into the incident, naming her husband, Alloise Ngure, as a person of interest.
Ngure was arrested by DCI detectives last week but was later released on cash bail pending further investigations.
