ICT Authority Announces 400 Digital Internships – How to Apply Today”

 

ICT Authority invites young graduates for 2025 PDTP internships.

Nairobi, Kenya – The Information Communication and Technology Authority (ICTA) has announced 400 internship vacancies in the highly sought-after Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP), giving young graduates a chance to sharpen their skills in ICT and public service.

Programme Overview

In a notice released on Tuesday, August 26, the ICTA invited recent university graduates to apply for the year-long programme. According to the agency, the initiative seeks to nurture young, innovative Kenyans passionate about technology and governance through a structured 12-month internship that combines exposure in both public and private sectors.

“Through this transformative programme, the Government is looking for young, talented Kenyans with a passion for ICT and public service to undergo structured mentorship and training,” read the notice in part.

Available Internship Categories

The 400 slots will be distributed across different specializations:

  • Network & Digital Infrastructure – 150 positions
  • Software Development & AI – 100 positions
  • Information Security – 50 positions
  • Multimedia/Graphic Design & Digital Marketing – 50 positions
  • Data Analytics – 50 positions

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Graduated within the last two years (from January 2023).
  • Hold a First Class or Upper Second-Class Honours degree or equivalent.
  • Have a background in ICT-related fields such as Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, or Computer Science.
  • Possess knowledge relevant to their specialization.
  • Be Kenyan citizens aged 21–29, unemployed, and not previously enrolled in any government internship.
  • Those awaiting graduation by December 2025 must present an official recommendation letter.
