Breaking: CS Murkomen Claims BBC Paid Witnesses in Fake Child Sex Trade Story
Nairobi, Kenya – Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has strongly dismissed a recent BBC documentary that alleged rampant sexual exploitation of underage girls in Kenya.
Speaking before the National Assembly on Wednesday, August 13, Murkomen described the documentary as a planned hoax designed to mislead the public and tarnish the country’s image.
Murkomen Questions BBC’s Sources
The CS said he personally reviewed the names, pseudonyms, and backgrounds of the individuals featured in the exposé, only to find that none were minors. He further claimed that the alleged victims had posed as children for financial gain.
“That report was fake because the people who were interviewed were not underage. I went the whole length to read their names, pseudo names and who they are and what they do. I also looked at the motivating factor for why they were posing as children,” Murkomen told MPs.
Murkomen Acknowledges the Reality of Child Exploitation
Despite his strong rebuttal of the documentary, Murkomen admitted that cases of child sexual exploitation do exist in the country. However, he maintained that the BBC report failed to reflect the truth on the ground.
