UDA MP Nimrod Mbai Loses Mother in Tragic Road Accident
Machakos County, Kenya – Kitui East Member of Parliament Nimrod Mbai is mourning the loss of his mother, Dorcas Kanini Mbai, who died in a tragic road accident on Sunday, July 20.
In a heartfelt statement, Mbai confirmed that his mother was among the victims of a fatal crash in the Kithimani area along the Nairobi-Garissa Highway.
“With a heavy heart, I share the heartbreaking news that I have lost my beloved mother, Dorcas Kanini Mbai, in a tragic road accident at Kithimani along the Nairobi-Garissa Highway. God, who gives, has taken away. Rest in peace, Mama. You were loved,” Mbai said.
Details of the Accident
According to preliminary reports, the vehicle carrying Dorcas Kanini and two other passengers veered off the road and plunged into the Yatta canal. Rescue teams found her trapped in the wreckage, and she succumbed at the scene.
The two other occupants survived the crash and were rushed to a hospital in Kithimani Township for medical care.
Leaders Send Condolences
Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka Kawaya expressed his condolences to the bereaved family in a statement.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Dorcas Mbithuka, mother to Hon. Nimrod Mbai, through a road accident at Kithimani. I convey my utmost condolences to her family and the people of Kitui East,” Kawaya said.
